Metta Rising Retreats Led by Carla de Kretser, Yoga Facilitator and Holistic Counsellor, are focused on relieving anxiety and tight grips of the mind, in order to connect closer to your true essence.
Whether you’re looking for rest, balance, connection, or to just escape for a getaway we’ve got you.

With an onsite private chef serving up the most divine fresh and locally sourced meals, a daily schedule of body based practices and mindfulness modalities such as yoga, embodied movement. art therapy and meditation, you’ll be truly looked after during your stay.

Each retreat has a special unique flare and is inclusive to those whom are newer to yoga as well as those who have been practicing for many years.
Importantly, our getaways are for you to have space to breathe, and, nourish yourself in healing practices, whilst connecting to yourself and creating new friendships.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yoga is new to me. I’m not sure if I should join?
Yes, you are absolutely welcome to join. Doing something new can be terrifying I know, but usually that little nudge inside is telling you to listen.
I’d recommend however, doing a couple Vinyasa yoga classes at a near by yoga studio, so you can get the feel for the practice. This way you’re feeling ready for our daily classes. There is always modifications in each class so you can take the more challenging postures or ease up where needed.

What does a day on retreat look like?
Here is a day’s schedule example
8am Morning Yoga 75min & Meditation 15min
9.30am Breakie
10.30 - 12.30 Free time to explore/sauna + swim/massage/rest
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm - 4pm Free time to explore/sauna + swim/massage/rest
4.00pm - 6.00pm Special Workshop (Art Therapy or Embodiment)
6.30pm dinner
7.30pm Bon Fire / Sound Bath / Yin practice

How many people join your retreats?
Metta Rising Retreats are intimate and comfortable. We currently cater for a maximum of 8 people.

Can I join the retreat on my own?
For sure. Most of our retreaters are solo and personally I’ve always retreated on my own, as I believe this way you can drop in and focus on yourself. This is a great chance to get outside your comfort zone and surprise yourself. You’ll likely arrive solo but leave with a few buddies!

Do I need to join in on all the activities?
All activities are completely optional. If you want to have a later sleep in or just some RNR alone time you don’t need to join - no biggie its your getaway!

I have food allergies / special dietary requirements is this ok?
For sure! When you book with us we have a form you’re required to fill out with any requirements and allergies.
Please ensure you include all dietary requirements so we can prepare this well ahead.
